This title is granted once a year and winner is elected by the editorial staff of the Falstaff Magazine.
I have achieved the Master Sommelier title after nine years from the introductory exam in Las Vegas in 2003 to the final exam in London 2011.
Up to the present day there are only 226 people worldwide who have successfully completed the Master Sommelier educational program.
Restaurant run by the Obauer brothers Karl and Rudi in Werfen, Austria. Member of “Les Grandes Tables du Monde” and awarded with countless accolades.
Restaurant, hotel, and wine-trade run by the Döllerer family for more than 100 years. Andreas Döllerer is the founder of the award-winning "Cuisine Alpine" and member of Les Grandes Tables du Monde.

An independent jury of wine experts brings in their personal favorites for the wine restaurant of the year. Out of the three restaurants with the most expert votes, the winner is elected in a public voting.
The Emerson was a top-quality hideaway in Mount Tremper in the Catskills of New York. It was member of “Small Luxury Hotels of the World” and named by Condé Nast Johannsens “Most outstanding inn in North America” in 2005. Unfortunately the building was completely destroyed by fire and not rebuilt.
